Hoy & Walls Health Centre LonghopeChanges afoot - Please check with staffFull access for Disabled Patients. The practice is single-handed and dispensing, covering the island of Hoy and Walls. Full primary care, including out of hours care, is provided for all residents by the Doctor and Nurses. Emergency care is also provided for visitors and temporary residents. The Doctor provides antenatal and postnatal care, support and advice with the visiting Health Visitor/Midwife from the mainland. Community Nursing Services are provided on the island. To register with the Doctor call in to the Health Centre during opening hours to collect a Registration Form. Surgery Hours

Emergencies on the island are dealt with by the Doctor and Nurses. The surgery is equipped to treat most injuries as well as other minor surgical procedures. There is a fully equipped ambulance for use by the practice team. Transfer of a patient is usually by our own ambulance on the ‘Hoy Head’ ferry. The practice provides a full Family Planning service and is committed to an active Health Promotion programme.
